BI 420W - Biology Seminar

This course (or substituted research experience) is required of all biology majors and is a writing intensive course. The course will follow either a seminar or hands-on research project format. For the seminar format, the topics covered will be drawn from a broad range of areas in biology and will emphasize current developments in these areas. Cadets will lead discussions for the topic they present. A term paper involving testing an original hypothesis and using results compiled from published research literature will be written on a specific area of interest in biology. For the hands-on research format, students will conduct original research and will write a research paper presenting their results. Note: Writing Intensive (W). Prerequisite(s): Completion of one of the following courses prior to enrolling: BI 311 , BI 312 , BI 313 , BI 325 BI 326 , BI 335 , or BI 430 .
