This course focuses on important principles that govern all ecosystems, including how biotic and abiotic factors converge to create natural systems, and how interactions and interdependencies among organisms shape biological communities. Course objectives will be achieved using lectures and a writing assignment that tests a novel hypothesis, using data drawn from peer reviewed scientific literature. Prerequisite(s): BI 101 & BI 102
