A practical and theoretical examination of investment management techniques and capital market theory. Emphasis on the construction and management of equity and fixed income portfolios using passive and active strategies. Portfolio diversification, performance evaluation and investment policy statement development are also studied from the perspective of the manager and the client. Prerequisite(s): BU 310 with a grade of C or higher or permission of instructor, and BU 411 completed or concurrent enrollment
