Basic principles and concepts of accounting, recording and reporting transactions, and preparation and interpretation of periodic statements. Emphasis is on the rationale underlying accounting operations.
Remote Summer Session I Delivery Method: Asynchronous
This course will be conducted asynchronously with the course material delivered in the following ways: Power point presentations with recorded lecture notes; typed lecture notes by chapter/topic posted to Canvas, numerous practice exercises will be posted to Canvas followed by annotated solutions, homework assignments posted to Canvas in Word/PDF format to be filled in and returned electronically, quizzes will be administered in a manner similar to homework assignments, there will be four exams during the session all delivered and returned electronically. I can be reached any time via phone, text, and email.
Software need: Word is preferred and used extensively for delivery and return of practice exercises, homework, quizzes, and intra-semester exams, etc.
Required Textbook: FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING FUNDAMENTALS, Seventh Edition by John J. Wild
ISBN 978 1 260 24786-2, older editions are not acceptable.
Final Exam: June 18th 1 - 4 p.m.
