CIS 331 - Human-Centered Computing and Artificial Intelligence Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Credit Hours: 3
Explores topics in Human-Centered Computing (HCC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Covers HCC design and implementation of interfaces using graphics, audio, and haptic tools; cognitive factors, including information load, learning imposed on users, and modeling of user behaviors. Web-based and the traditional user interfaces will be considered. Additional topics in introductory AI will cover genetic algorithms, artificial neutral networks, natural language processing, and building recommender systems. Prerequisite(s): CIS 211 with a grade of C or better. Note: This course cannot be taken in conjunction with CS 346.
