CE 214 - Civil Engineering Methods With Probability and Statistics Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Credit Hours: 3
This is a calculus-based introduction to probability and statistics designed for scientists and engineers. Topics include numerical methods applied to matrices, discrete and continuous random variables, probability and cumulative density functions, central tendency, variability, skew, probability rules, and permutations and combinations. Applications include hypothesis testing and curve fitting. Included are spreadsheet applications in engineering. Prerequisite(s): MA 123 with a minimum grade of C.
