EE 419 - The Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the integration of networking capabilities with embedded systems, sensors, and actuators, leading to a merger of the cyber and physical worlds. IoT devices, systems, and services have applications in fields such as home automation, transportation, remote sensing, infrastructure monitoring and management, medical devices, and consumer devices. In this project-based course, students will learn about the enabling technologies, security issues, and policy issues involved with the engineering of IoT and IoT-enabled systems. Prerequisite(s): EE 339
