PE 328 - Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Instructor: MAJ Tricia Fry Location: Cocke Hall 103/104 Date/Time: Monday-Thursday 12:30-1:30 p.m. Credit Hours: 0.5
This course is introductory and provides students with both theoretical material and experiential practice in the area of stress reduction and mindfulness. History, efficacy and the application of stress reduction/mindfulness practice serve as foundation to specific exercises/techniques (e.g., breathing, yoga, and imagery) taught. You will be taught tools (techniques) to practice and thereby implement a stress reduction/mindfulness practice for the semester. These techniques can be utilized throughout your life. Note: Equipment: Cadet is recommended to bring their own yoga mat or towel to each session. Prerequisite(s): All required P.E. courses must be completed prior to taking electives.
