This course is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary survey focusing on the city of Paris, but also on France at large, from the earliest times to the present, with particular attention to literature, the arts, thought, politics, society, and architecture. Taught in English. This course does not include a foreign language component and cannot be used toward a language requirement. Note: Civilizations & Cultures Course (X).
