HPW 327 - Passive Stretching and Yoga Exercise Lecture Hours: 0 Lab Hours: 1 Credit Hours: 0.5
This course is an introduction to the practice of yoga. Content will combine theory (i.e., the history and philosophy of yoga) and movement (i.e., yoga practice or exercise). The emphasis of yoga practice will be on postures coordinated with breath for improved flexibility, strength, endurance, coordination, balance, and stress reduction. Postures are adaptable to all levels of fitness and mobility and cadets are encouraged to understand and work within their own limitations. Note: All required HPW courses must be completed prior to taking electives. Prerequisite(s): HPW 102 , HPW 105 , HPW 200 /HPW 201 , and HPW 205
