Requirements for B.S. Degree in Applied Mathematics


The B.S. in Applied Mathematics requires 136 semester hours which includes a minimum of 58 hours of mathematics. The following gives minimum requirements for the degree. Additional courses to complete the requirements must be chosen by the cadet with the approval of his/her departmental adviser.

Science


  • 16 semester hours from two different sciences.
  • All courses must be laboratory courses.

English, Rhetoric, and Humanistic Studies


10 semester hours to include

History & Leadership


9 semester hours of

Military Science


12 semester hours.

Human Performance and Wellness


4 semester hours.

Free Electives


27 credits of free electives with the restriction of no 100 or 200 level MA courses.

Civilization & Cultures


Two X courses, one of which may be replaced by a credit-bearing, Institute-approved study abroad experience. 

Writing Intensive


Two W courses, one of which must be taken in in the major
