BI 327 - Biology of Fungi

This course explores the biology and importance of fungi, including yeasts, molds, mushrooms, and fungus-like organisms. Topics span diversity, morphology, physiology, life history, ecology, and evolution of fungi, fungal pathogens and diseases, and the use of fungi in global cuisine and industry. Course techniques draw from field collection, classroom observation, experimentation, and literature analysis. Prerequisite(s): One of the following sequences:
