BI 221 - Anatomy and Physiology II Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 3 Credit Hours: 4
The course is part of a two-semester sequence in which human anatomy and physiology are examined through a systems approach to the human body. Systems are examined based on the interaction between form and function from the organismal level to the microscopic components of the tissues. Topics to be covered include cardiovascular system; lymphatic system and immunity; respiratory system; digestive system; nutrients and metabolism; urinary system; fluid/electrolytes and acid-base balance; and the reproductive system. Prerequisite(s): One of the following sequences:
BI 101 and BI 102 ,
BI 105 , BI 106 , and BI 200 , or
BI 111 , BI 112 , and BI 113 .
